Kate Gosselin, star of the TLC reality show "Jon & Kate Plus 8," will make an appearance at the eighth annual "Stars, Stripes and Skates ICEtravaganza" to be held on Saturday, Sept. 26. The show will also feature Olympic figure skaters and young local talent.
Confirmed guest skaters for this year’s show include 1992 Olympic champion Oksana Baiul, 2007 World champion Miki Ando, three-time U.S. champion Johnny Weir, Japanese national champion Nobunari Oda, and U.S. Olympians Melissa Gregory and Denis Petukhov.
The show will be hosted by Nikki Blonsky, star of the hit film "Hairspray" and Sirius XM radio personality Frank DeCaro. Jill Zarin and LuAnn de Lesseps, cast members from "The Real Housewives of New York City," will also be in attendance.
In addition to the world-class roster, young area skaters will share the ice with their idols.
The event is presented by the Danbury Plaza Hotel and is a benefit for The Heritage Foundation of 9/11. The show will take place at 7:30 p.m. at the Danbury Ice Arena in Danbury, CT.
