Heading into last season’s Grand Prix Series, Javier Fernández was likely not on many people’s radar to become one of the standouts of the year.
But the 21-year-old Spaniard stepped up to the plate from the outset, claim- ing silver medals at both his Grand Prix events and bronze at the Final.
