Missing the podium at the 2012 World Championships by a slim margin was a huge motivating factor for Canadian ice dancers Kaitlyn Weaver and Andrew Poje this season.
The popular duo has come a long way since their 17th-place finish at the 2008 World Championships.
And while missing the 2009 and 2010 World teams was disappointing, not earning a berth to the 2010 Olympic Winter Games was a turning point in their career. “We had two directions at that point: Rise to the challenge or be buried by it,” said Weaver, 23.
