The big tricks were nowhere to be seen and, without them, neither was any real chance to stand on the podium. But none of that mattered to Emanuel Sandhu.
He arrived at the Canadian Championships with no quads or triple Axels in his arsenal. Combine that with a shortage of training, and his final placement (11th) was almost predictable.
But if you’re thinking that bothered a guy who, in 10 previous appearances as a senior at nationals, never failed to take home a medal … well, guess again. This was about something completely different.
