Figure Skating in Harlem (FSH) will host its ninth annual “Skating with the Stars” gala at the Trump Rink in New York's Central Park on Monday, April 7, from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Iman, Whoopi Goldberg, and Tamara Tunie are this year’s Honorary Chairs.
Michelle Kwan, Jeff Tweedy (President of Sean John), and Dylan Lauren, CEO of Dylan's Candy Bar are the 2014 honorees.
This annual star-studded event raises money to fund FSH’s year-round academic and fitness programs for underserved girls. Guests will have the rare opportunity to skate side-by-side with some of the most well known athletes in American figure skating history, including Michelle Kwan, Scott Hamilton, Sarah Hughes, Sasha Cohen, Paul Wylie, Tim Goebel and Ryan Bradley.
They will be joined by members of the 2014 U.S. Olympic team. Gracie Gold, Ashley Wagner, Jeremy Abbott, Jason Brown, Mirai Nagasu and Felicia Zhang and Nathan Bartholomay have all confirmed they will be in attendance at this event.
A VIP dinner will take place at The Central Park Boathouse later in the evening and will include an online auction, which will be hosted at charitybuzz.com.
Tickets to the skating segment include a buffet dinner, start at $350. VIP dinner packages start at $2,500 and include two tickets to the skating segment and the dinner.
Tickets are available online at www.figureskatinginharlem.org or by calling (646) 679-3769.
Now in its 17th year, FSH is still the first and only organization in the U.S. that integrates the discipline of figure skating with an educational program. Its mission is to transform the lives of underserved New York City girls and empower them with education and fitness programs that promote academic success, and top physical and emotional health.
