Kristi Yamaguchi will be on NBC’s “Today” show Friday, Nov. 7 to promote her figure skating special, “Kristi Yamaguchi The Friends & Family,” which will air on NBC Nov. 8.
Yamaguchi's made-for-TV show is being headlined by the Jonas Brothers.
The live show was a huge success and nearly sold out the arena. The cast included Olympic gold medalist Yamaguchi, two-time Olympic medalist Nancy Kerrigan, Olympic gold medalists Jamie Sale and David Pelletier, Olympic gold medalist Viktor Petrenko, Olympic bronze medalist Jozef Sabovcik, three-time U.S. champion and two-time world bronze medalist Michael Weiss, three-time U.S. pairs champions Jenni Meno and Todd Sand, and Isabelle Brasseur and Rocky Marval. Brasseur won a world title and an Olympic silver medal with Canadian partner Lloyd Eisler and is married to Marval, a former U.S. pairs champion. Children of the skaters performed alongside their talented parents making this a true celebration of friends and family.
The Jonas Brothers band has been the latest Disney phenomenon to hit the airwaves. Among their hits are “S.O.S” and “When You Look Me in the Eyes.” Lovato, the band’s “Camp Rock” co-star and singer, was a huge hit for fans as well.
Bayer Diabetes Care, the lead sponsor of the “Friends & Family” show, recently announced a partnership with Nick Jonas, who has type 1 juvenile diabetes, to launch the “Walk in Nick’s Shoes.” The campaign aims to help young people with diabetes and their families simplify life with diabetes.
The show is sponsored locally by CNW Entertainment, a children’s entertainment and educational company showcasing its CrocPond brand.
