Canadian ice dance champions Marie-France Dubreuil and Patrice Lauzon proudly announce the birth of their daughter Billie-Rose Lauzon.
Billie-Rose was born on Friday, Dec. 24, 2010 at 11:48 P.M. at Pierre-Le-Gardeur Hospital in Montreal. She weighed in at six pounds 12 ounces and measured 20 inches.
"Marie-France, Patrice and Billie-Rose are all resting comfortably and are expected to return home on Monday, Dec. 27," said their agent David Baden of IMG.
"Marie-France and I are so happy to have a beautiful and healthy little girl,” said Lauzon. “We couldn't be prouder parents and look forward to celebrating Billie-Rose with our families during the Christmas holidays. Our due date was Dec. 25th so she arrived just 12 minutes early.”
“Billie-Rose is the perfect gift!" said the delighted new mother.
Dubreuil and Lauzon won five Canadian ice dance titles and are two-time World silver medalists and competed at two Olympic Winter Games.
After retiring from the competitive arena, the duo married in August 2008 and have toured with Stars on Ice for four years.
Although no date has been set, Dubreuil and Lauzon plan to return to the show circuit sometime next year.
