Brian Joubert Update

Brian Joubert returned to Toronto in late May for two weeks to work on new programs with choreographer Kurt Browning at the Granite Club. "I really enjoy working with Brian," Browning said. "He is just a great guy."

Joubert's coach Jean-Christophe Simond flew to Toronto to work with Joubert and Browning for the second week. Sources report that Joubert's presence caused quite a stir among the young female members at the club. A French television crew filmed Joubert while in Toronto which will be broadcast in France during Trophée Eric Bompard.

IFS caught up with the reigning World Champion while he was in town. Check out the July/August issue of IFS for a full update.

Lindsay DeWall resigned her position as U.S. Figure Skating Media Director on June 1 to join the United States Olympic Committee as manager of media and public relations.

“It was a wonderful and rewarding three and a half years at U.S. Figure Skating. The thought of leaving figure skating is very difficult for me, especially because of the amazing people I’ve gotten to work with along the way,” DeWall said. “I have so many great memories and feel so fortunate to have had all of the opportunities and experiences I’ve had.”

“My new job will be similar to what I did at the USFS but now I will be handling for all 40 plus Olympic sports and deal with the major Olympic issues like anti-doping,” DeWall said. “I will be handling the Chicago 2016 Olympic bid and the 2008 Beijing Olympic press operations.”
