Canadian figure skating choreographer Roselle Doyle will debut her new stage show "Land of the Eternals" at the Performing Arts Centre in Burlington, Ont., Sept. 14-15. Both shows start at 7:30 p.m.
Principal performers are Elvis Stojko, Dan Hollander, adagio artists Fiona Zaldua and Dmitry Sukhanov, Gladys Orozco-Stojko and Doyle.
As this is a live stage production all performers will be gliding around on PIC®Skates, an advanced and innovative version of inline skates or rollerblades. "Because of its unique design, the PIC®Skate allows athletes to execute all their jumps, spins, and other figure skating elements on an off-ice surface with ease," Doyle said.
The show will also feature former Nexxice caption Jennifer Beauchamp, Paulette Holtham, Caroyln MacCuish (Canadian novice pairs champion) and Sasha Desroches.
The Stilleto Dance Company and belly dancer Alicia Bellycraft will also perform.
This follows on the heels of a very successful and entertaining show Doyle choreographed as part of Toronto's annual Canadian National Exhibition events this summer.
"This year's show 'La Vie' had a city theme and took the audiences through a day in city life," Doyle explained. "It was a mix of professional skaters, some incredible acrobatic talents, aerial acrobats, jugglers, trampoline acrobats and breakdancers."
Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir headlined the show for the first two weeks and Stojko gave the Labor Day weekend crowds a lot to cheer about.
