Following a hard-fought seven-event Junior Grand Prix Series, the top six in each discipline will battle it out at the 2018 Junior Grand Prix Final in Vancouver, Canada, Dec. 6-9.

JUNIOR GRAND PRIX FINAL QUALIFIERS2018 Junior Grand Prix Final

The 2018 Junior Grand Prix Final begins Dec. 6 with the pairs, men’s and ladies short programs. A number of skaters/teams who competed at the 2017 Junior Grand Prix Final are returning to this stage one last time:

Ladies: Alexandra Trusova, Alena Kostornaia and Anastasia Tarakanova (Russia)
Men: Camden Pulkinen (USA)
Pairs: Apollinaria Panfilova and Dmitry Rylov and Anastasia Poluianova and Dmitry Sopot (Russia)
Ice Dance: Sofia Shevchenko and Igor Eremenko (Russia) and Marjorie Lavoie and Zachary Lagha (Canada)

Andrew Torgashev of the U.S. qualified for the Final but withdrew citing injury on Nov. 12. Canada′s Stephen Gogolev, the first alternate, moved into the sixth spot on the men′s roster.


Impressive Numbers

The stars at this year’s Junior Grand Prix Final will be in good company. Four singles skaters and one ice dance team that qualified for the senior Final are former Junior Grand Prix Final champions:

Men: Yuzuru Hanyu – 2009, Shoma Uno – 2014, Nathan Chen – 2015
Ladies: Alina Zagitova – 2016
Ice Dance: Alexandra Stepanova and Ivan Bukin – 2012

Former Junior Grand Prix Final gold medalists heading to Vancouver who competed with different partners:

Madison Hubbell and her brother, Keiffer Hubbell – 2006
Victoria Sinitsina and her former partner Ruslan Zhiganshin – 2011
