Alexandra Trusova, 13, wowed the audience in Brisbane, Australia, where she made her Junior Grand Prix debut. The Russian teenager set global tongues wagging with her short program performance, but it was her free skate that really set her apart from the rest of the juniors competing on the circuit this season.

Trusova opened her program with an attempted quad Salchow, but was unable to hold on to the landing and crashed to the ice.

After two solid victories she sits at the top of the leaderboard following the conclusion of the seven events and is headed to the Grand Prix Final in Nagoya, Japan, in December.
